About this policy
Laser Stream Media, Inc. provides Site Boomerang and Lead Booster for participating U.S. dealerships. This policy explains how information is handled when you use these services on a dealership website or an offer page hosted on LaserStreamVideo.com. The participating dealership is identified on the offer page.
This policy covers only Site Boomerang and Lead Booster. It does not cover the Video-assisted Credit Application & Lead Recovery System, the dealership’s entire website, or its other services. The dealership may have its own privacy policy.
Information collected
Information may be collected when a service loads, before you submit a form. Depending on the feature, this includes your public IP address, activation time, dealership identifier, referring page address when supplied by your browser, and clicks on tracked links.
If you submit a form, we collect the information shown on that form, such as your name, email address, telephone number and vehicle preferences. An inquiry may also include the offer, submission time, selected language, general device category, and a source-page path when supplied.
How information is used
We use information to operate and display offers, remember the offer-display sequence, manage form sessions, screen for certain automated or duplicate submissions, deliver inquiries, support the service, and report activity to the participating dealership.
Activation and tracked-click records support performance reporting. Counts based on distinct IP addresses are visitor estimates, not exact counts of people: several people can share one address, and a person’s address can change.
Where a dealership has configured network exclusions, the service checks your public IP address to suppress offers on listed dealership internet connections. This identifies a network connection rather than your physical location.
Laser Stream Media does not use submitted leads for its own marketing or remarketing audiences and does not resell submitted leads.
Who receives information
Laser Stream Media processes inquiries and sends them to the dealership’s configured staff and customer relationship management or lead-management system. We retain an internal email copy and inquiry and delivery records in AccessMyLeads.com, a system owned and operated by Laser Stream Media. Access to our internal lead copies and database leads is limited to our owner and lead systems engineer.
Our website infrastructure is hosted on Amazon’s cloud services, and our internal lead-copy mailbox uses Google Workspace Gmail. Hosting and email providers process information to provide their services.
The dealership may use information it receives to respond to your inquiry and for ongoing marketing by email, telephone or text. Contact the dealership, or use the opt-out method provided in its communications, to request that its marketing stop. This policy explains information handling; it does not itself provide consent for communications that require separate consent.
Third-party features
Where network exclusions are configured, your browser contacts the external IP-address service ipify to obtain the public IP address used for the comparison. That connection occurs before either offer product is allowed to activate. Learn about the service at https://www.ipify.org/.
Some Site Boomerang pages contain a Vimeo video. Loading its player connects your browser to Vimeo and provides connection information, including your IP address. Vimeo may use cookies needed to operate and secure the player. Its privacy-mode setting does not prevent all cookies or all information transfers. The dealership website and its other embedded services may collect information independently. Their practices are addressed in their own notices.
How long information is kept
There is currently no uniform maximum retention period across all systems used for these services.
Internal lead-copy email is subject to scheduled deletion using a cutoff six calendar months before each run. Deletion is processed in batches; existing older email, processing delays and service limits can extend the time before removal. Removing messages from the mailbox does not establish when a provider removes recovery or backup copies.
Database records, tracking records and backups may be retained longer than six months. Retention controls for these systems are being completed, so we do not currently promise that all copies are deleted within six months or six months plus one day.
The dealership and its providers retain their own copies under their practices. Deleting our copies does not delete independently held dealership copies. Contact the dealership about its retention and deletion practices.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may choose not to submit a form and contact the dealership directly instead. Technical information may still be collected when the service loads.
For questions or requests concerning information held by Laser Stream Media, email Info@LaserStreamVideo.com. Please identify the dealership and approximate date of your interaction. Do not send identity documents or other sensitive information with your initial request.
Our owner monitors this address and coordinates with our lead systems engineer to handle requests. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or other privacy choices. We may need to verify your identity to respond. Contact the dealership about information it independently holds and marketing it sends.
Changes and contact
We will maintain this policy at one central address linked from Site Boomerang and Lead Booster pages. When we update it, we will revise the date at the top. We will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
